This role is for current QMUL Students only and is 2-3 days (14-21hrs) a week.

 

This role sits in a systems and data cluster within the student recruitment, outreach and widening participation function (a part of the wider Marketing and Communications directorate). Overall the team is responsible for marketing of the profile of Queen Mary University of London and its educational programmes, and the attraction and recruitment of students from Widening Participation backgrounds as well as students from the UK more generally, EU and Overseas.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with data and systems, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in engaging creative. The successful candidate will ideally already have 1-2 years of experience working with data as part of their degree, and ideally an interest in how data and technology is impacting the field of marketing and communications. The role sits within a well-regarded team and will deliver valuable future career skills in using the Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. 

Job Purpose: 

  • To be an expert user of Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other associated systems such as Form Assembly
  • Be a champion for the CRM and the benefits it offers to QMUL to help support the CRM user community
  • To support the coordination of CRM activities including building user journeys, managing datasets, reporting, production of forms and technical features to deliver student recruitment activities, data cleansing and proofing communications that use the system.
  • Support the execution of conversion plans using CRM across central and school / faculty based activities 

 

Main Responsibilities: 

Insight 

  • Maintain an understanding of the latest techniques available to support CRM initiatives
  • Have a good knowledge of data sources to understand the internal and external recruitment picture
  • Support the coordination of an information hub which will use innovative channels to disseminate knowledge and insights relating to CRM activities 
  • Keep abreast of GDPR legislation and University data protection policies to ensure activities are compliant and data is managed and recorded securely

Ideas

  • Provide creative solutions in meeting challenges across areas of work 

Implementation 

  • Review email journeys where appropriate
  • Ensure that appropriate data capture techniques are used and optimised
  • Assist with the migration of current processes to new platforms.

Impact 

  • Contribute towards the work of the broader team/department and undertake any such other duties within the department as may be required
  • Maintain a high quality and integrity of data within the CRM and associated systems.

Other duties and responsibilities 

  • Act as an ambassador for the University?s brand (both verbal and visual identity), championing its use across the institution as well as your own area of work.
  • Keep abreast of GDPR, CMA, ASA and other relevant legislative requirements for area of work, ensure this knowledge is translated into the work carried out

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program preferably related to Marketing, Communications, Data Science, Business, or a related field.


Skills
  • Strong understanding of data management and familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle data with accuracy and care.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and provide innovative solutions in CRM-related challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of GDPR and data protection practices.

Experience:

  • Experience in data cleansing and reporting.

Market Insight Assistant (Temporary)

The department of Strategic Marketing at Queen's is seeking a candidate to fill a temporary role within the Market Insight Team. The role is to support the team in administration and analysis of quantitative research and competitor analysis, for example market trend analysis, recruitment analysis, rankings performance and event feedback surveys - culminating in the creation of reports to be disseminated to staff. Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a positive impact on our campus and community? We are seeking enthusiastic and sociable students to join our team as Sustainability Student Ambassadors. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting sustainability initiatives, engaging with fellow students and driving a culture of ?making change together? at King?s. 

This position is for a two-week period during Welcome to King?s (9-20 September 2024). Tasks include leading King?s Climate & Sustainability?s presence at Welcome Hubs and Fairs, assisting with events and presenting KCS at faculty inductions.  

Required availability for dates:  

Training scheduled for 3 September 11am-2pm (in person) 

Requirement to be available in person during Welcome to King?s (9-20 September, main activities 16-20 September)  

Flexible hours (minimum commitment 7 hours) 

Key responsibilities: 

Promotion and advocacy: Act as a representative of the university?s sustainability initiatives. Promote awareness and participation in sustainability programmes, events and campaigns through various channels, including welcome hubs, campus events and peer-to-peer interactions. 

Event coordination (e.g. climate cafe): Assist in planning, organising and executing sustainability-related events, workshops and campaigns. Ensure these events run smoothly and effectively engage the student body. 

Collaboration: Work closely with the KCS team and other relevant groups to amplify the impact of sustainability initiatives. 

Communication: Utilise excellent communication skills to increase engagement with KCS. Develop and distribute promotional materials. 

Feedback and reporting: Track attendance and collect and report feedback from students.

We are seeking a talented and innovative Content Creator with a proven track record in producing engaging and informative content to support the King?s Business School (KBS) Careers team.

KBS Careers support undergraduate and postgraduate students with their careers; we help our students explore career routes, assist them to become as competitive as possible in selection processes and provide experiential learning opportunities.

We want to evolve our provision to appeal and inform our students in the most engaging and relevant way and are searching for a Video Creator to conceptualising, shoot, and edit videos to appeal to our student profile.

 

Responsibilities:

Content Ideation and Planning:

  • Develop creative and compelling video concepts related to careers and employability topics
  • Collaborate with the Careers team to transform our current content into a more digital format, whilst linking to our wider Business School brand and ethos

Scripting and Storyboarding:

  • Write clear and concise scripts that effectively communicate concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Create storyboards to visualize the flow and structure of the videos.

Video Production:

  • Shoot, direct, and produce high-quality videos and utilise expertise in cinematography to enhance visual storytelling.

Editing and post-production:

  • Edit videos to ensure they meet the highest standards for quality and creativity.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance the educational value of the content.

Platform Optimization:

  • Optimize videos for various platforms, considering best practices for YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social media channels.

Audience Engagement:

  • Monitor and respond to audience feedback and comments on video platforms.
  • Implement strategies to increase subscriber numbers and viewer engagement.
