POSTGRADUATE/STAFF APPLICANTS ONLY

Kings Residences Under-18s Administrator- Great Dover Street, Borough.

This is a unique opportunity to join the King?s Residences department, as part of the Wellbeing team. In King?s Residences, we strive to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students to live, study and thrive within. The department currently houses around 5500 students every year, and within this community we have approximately 350 students living with us who are under the age of 18.

The purpose of this role is to support with the daily monitoring, support and safeguarding of the under 18 student cohort in Hall of Residences. Due to their age, we have an increased duty of care towards these residents, which requires checking and monitoring their wellbeing on a daily basis, as well responding to any concerns that may arise and escalating any instances of concern. The role is supported by the Residences Welfare Officer and Residences Wellbeing Manager.

The assignment is for 18/12/24 - 4/1/25. We need a daily shift covered during this period, 3 hours per shift. You will need to complete an induction training (which will also be paid) prior to 18/12/24.

Qualifications

Skills

Essential:

  Excellent command of the English language.
  Excellent written and communication skills.
  Strong IT skills with experience using: Outlook, Excel, Word.
  Knowledge of relevant UK safeguarding policies and procedures.
  An understanding of GDPR principles/ data protection and confidentiality practices.
  Proactive working approach.
  Ability to comprehend complex issues quickly.
  Be trustworthy and respectful.
  Flexibility with hours and working weekends.
  Accuracy and reliability

Desirable:

  Safeguard training
  DBS
  Experience working at a university / with young adults.

Shift: 08:00 - 15:00 (7 hours, 30 minutes paid break included)

Location: New Hunts House, Guy's campus
