Kings Residences Under-18s Administrator- Great Dover Street, Borough.



This is a unique opportunity to join the King’s Residences department, as part of the Wellbeing team. In King’s Residences, we strive to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students to live, study and thrive within. The department currently houses around 5500 students every year, and within this community we have approximately 350 students living with us who are under the age of 18.



The purpose of this role is to support with the daily monitoring, support and safeguarding of the under 18 student cohort in Hall of Residences. Due to their age, we have an increased duty of care towards these residents, which requires checking and monitoring their wellbeing on a daily basis, as well responding to any concerns that may arise and escalating any instances of concern. The role is supported by the Residences Welfare Officer and Residences Wellbeing Manager.



The assignment is for a 0 hours, indefinite contract.  Shifts will be offered as and when required- including bank holiday and weekend work. Please confirm that this structure is suitable before applying for this role.



The assignment will commence on Saturday 15th April 2023 for 3 hours training (at double rate pay).

Grade 4 Programme Officer (Timetabling) 



Temporary from 29th July (excluding UK Bank Holiday) Kings College London, Guy’s Campus (Tower Wing, Floor 18, Academic Centre Office)  SE1 9RT.



Candidates must be available throughout the dates specified above. Annual leave will not be viable. Work will be on campus (hybrid/remote working not available for this assignment). 



Role purpose 



Working as a member of the programme administration team, who deliver high-quality customer experience to relevant stakeholders throughout preparation for teaching support for the student lifecycle, from pre-enrolment activities, through to graduation. Resolving day-to-day issues, responding in line with university Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), assisting with annual tasks for curriculum set up and implementation. 



Your primary role will scheduling our non-clinical undergraduate programme timetables, quality assuring data integrity and making amendments to sessions as necessary in response to changing business needs. You will be working alongside our clinical scheduling team to ensure student timetables are cohesive, with highest data integrity and adequate venue provision. 



Highly accurate data entry will be a significant portion of this role’s responsibilities. You must be confident in maintaining consistent attention to detail during the working day whilst performing repetitive tasks. 



  



Key Accountabilities 



 




  • Work with relevant colleagues within programme administration to produce undergraduate timetables, including finalising all room booking requests, during the crucial final period of the FoDOCS timetabling processes. 

  • Work flexibly as part of a team, supporting others in times of high-volume activity. Covering staff absence as and when required, including in student facing activities (e.g. student reception). 

  • Identify and investigate any low-level data discrepancies, escalating these matters to the Non-Clinical Programme Manager. 

  • Notify the Non-Clinical Programme Manager of any challenges or data integrity risks/problems. 

  • To take personal accountability to ensure all key performance indicators towards timetable creation are met during assignment, including data quality. 

  • Ensure all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner, with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity. To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the data protection and GDPR working in accordance with KCL’s university regulations. 

  • To work with professional excellence, in accordance with, and to represent, KCL’s workplace values. 

  • Carry out any other duties, commensurate with the post, as required.

This position is for a diligent and enthousiastic Research Assistant to work on a project focusing on the prevention of common mental health problems in children and young people. In this role, you will be working on an ambitious research programme that aims to advance our understanding on the targeting, personalisation and implementation of depression and anxiety prevention interventions for children and young people.



You will work together with a team on analysing large datasets to identify who is at most risk of developing depression and anxiety and understanding which child is most likely to benefit from – which type of –preventative intervention. You will also work on supporting the team to develop an implementation pathway to inform future prevention intervention in the UK. 



The Research Assistant will work in a small team and you will be based at the department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience King’s College London.



The most part of the role will involve working on a large scale individual participant data meta-analysis project. You will help co-ordinate and support a small team with identifying studies that we should include in the analysis, helping with extracting relevant data from them and also work on harmonising and analysing the study data. You will also get involved in other research work based and additional analysis / data management. 



You will work with the team to make sure adhere to the latest guidance and best practice methods for IPDMA analysis as well as secondary analysis. 



We are looking for someone who has a good eye for detail who has affinity with data analysis as well as research co-ordination and collaboration. 



Qualifications

- MSc in Mental Health Science or related



- BSc in Psychology or related topic

- Experience with systematic reviews



- Ability to work independently and as part of a team



- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a dynamic workload to ensure deadlines are met



- Ability to co-ordinate research activities and support others with their work



- (Some) experience with writing research for academic peer-review publications and communication activities to a broader audience



- Affinity with quantitative meta and longitudinal analysis and able to use R software



- Growing understanding of Open Science practices and willingness to learn and develop skills in this area
