Job Description

THIS ROLE IS FULL TIME FIXED TERM AND OFFICE BASED WORKING.

Purpose of Job: 

The University enrolls the majority of its new students during September. This academic year enrolment is being carried out in two phases; online and face to face. A key part in the face to face process is the post of Imaging Officer. The role is to provide a welcoming face to new students at the end of the enrolment process, take images of students for ID cards according to set criteria, check images previously uploaded to see that they are acceptable and to produce ID cards. 



Qualifications

Selection Criteria:  

Excellent customer service skills 

Proven face to face communication skills 

Good command of the English language 

Ability to deal sensitively with students whose first language is not English 

IT literate 

Experience of working as a team 

Flexible attitude to work, willing to undertake various duties as required to ensure the efficient operation of the enrolment event

Main Roles & Responsibilities: 

To provide a welcoming face as students reach the end of the enrolment process 

To operate a camera to take images of students 

To check images previously uploaded by students to ensure they are acceptable 

To produce ID cards for students, encoded with the correct access settings

We are recruiting an hourly-paid RA to run an experiment involving the use of hypnosis to modulate perception and to analyse the corresponding data.



Qualifications

You should have an MA or MSc degree (merit or distinction).



Skills

You must have previous experience (clinical or research) in administering hypnotic inductions and different hypnotic suggestions to participants; you must also have relevant expertise in the study of nocebo effects and meta-analysis; and you must have published at least one paper on the topic of suggestibility or hypnosis.



 

ORE invigilator  

Shift: 14:00 - 19:00 (30 minute break included) 

Report to: Assessment Team in Lecture Theatre 1 New Hunt's House, Guy's Campus, Newcomen St, London SE1 1UL
