To process student and staff requests, providing advice and ensuring all enquiries are resolved efficiently  



Prepare and input data into the residential accommodation software, taking ownership and accountability for work completed, to ensure that it is dealt with efficiently.  



Maintain a level of accurate and up to date knowledge of issues, activities, and events necessary to underpin the delivery of an efficient and effective first point of information service.

Assist with staff system training regarding the allocations process and occupancy management 



Process damage charges to accounts based on information from the Residential Manager(s). 



Process cancellations and withdrawals indicating any cancellation penalties as warranted by the current cancellation calendar 



To handle allocations enquiries and escalate matters when required. 



To support the contact centre team at key times of the year with handling allocations enquiries 



Ensuring data on the relevant systems is maintained accurately and errors are rectified proactively/promptly 



To ensure that procedures are accurately and consistently implemented, and to maintain confidentiality with regard to personal information at all times and that any data breaches or loss are reported immediately following King’s procedure

Skills

Good time management skills, in order to handle a large volume of work with tight deadlines  Strong IT skills especially in the use of Microsoft Products  



Experience of working to tight deadlines 



Experience in the use of databases and/or room booking systems. 



Ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team and cover for other team members in their absence. 



Excellent and proven administration skills e.g. organised record keeping, retrieving, analysing, presenting data and producing reports. 

We are looking for a Business Analysts to work with our Business Development and Marketing team for 3 months. The assignment is to support the Head of Business Development to set-up and manage processes to enable Business Development for the Gene Therapy Vector Facility. The tasks will include the following




  •  Follow up on potential new client leads

  • Administrative management of client pipeline

  • Administrative management of landscape activities (commercial and academic groups requesting our services)

  • Marketing: support with social media forecasting



This role is offered for ca. 2 days per week with flexibility of hours and days available.  Ideal candidate could be an active student at Kings in a Business or Scientific degree course.



Qualifications

A Level/ Diploma/ Degree in a business or scientific subject or working towards a diploma or degree qualification



Skills

  • Use of Microsoft office tools such as excel

  • Awareness of business processes such as contracting, proposals and costings

  • Familiarity with PubMed or other scientific databases

  • Understanding of functionality of LinkedIn

To support the Head Invigilator/ Examination Team with the day-to-day operation of examination venues. This may include (but not limited to):




  • assisting with setting up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with the outlined procedures;

  • assisting candidates prior to the start of examination by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues;

  • offering advice and guidance to unregistered candidates without allocated seats;

  • ensuring that candidates do not talk once inside the examination venue;

  • invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures;

  • checking attendance during examinations;

  • recording details for early leavers and collect their scripts;

  • escorting candidates from the examination venue during the examinations as required, and supervising candidates whilst outside the examination venue;

  • collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination in accordance with strict procedures;

  • assisting with the preparation of script envelopes;

  • supervising candidates leaving the examination venues, ensuring that candidates do not remove equipment or stationery from the venue without authorisation and ensuring that candidates leave in an orderly and quiet manner;



Other duties:



To assist the Examination Team with other examination processes, such as:




  • packing of examination papers, stationery and equipment prior to the examinations and the delivery to and from venues as appropriate;

  • preparation of seating plans;

  • delivering scrips to departmental and school offices.



Qualifications

Please note:



You are not eligible for this role if you are a post or under graduate at London South Bank university.
