Sustainability Engagement Assistant

 

Job Description

Support King’s Climate & Sustainability to manage our engagement activities. These include Staff Sustainability Champions, King’s Climate Action Network, behaviour change campaigns, Sustainability Projects Fund and developing training materials. 



It is crucial that the SEA works as part of the King’s Climate & Sustainability team to understand the team’s engagement priorities for maximum impact.  



Tasks may include:  





  • Develop a database and conduct data analysis to track impact 




  • Develop and align various feedback forms 




  • Support organising the Sustainability Awards ceremony (14 July) 




  • Support engagement activities in advance of the waste campaign (e.g. listening exercises, setting up the delivery group, outreach) 




  • Provide admin support for ad-hoc tasks 




  • Collect case studies from Sustainability Champions 




  • Update guidance for sustainable travel 




  • Support organising academic panel events on travel and offsetting 




  • Support the roll-out of carbon literacy training 




  • Help managing volunteers 




  • Help develop sustainability training for Workrite 






Qualifications

King’s student or recent graduate  



Skills


  • Proactive – able to take initiative in line with the team’s priorities  




  • Reactive – able to accommodate last-minute requests 




  • Ability to work independently 




  • Data analysis and visualisation 




  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity

The invigilator is responsible for maintaining discipline and good order during the oral exam preparation.



They are required to ensure that bags etc are deposited alongside a wall, or at another place far away enough for students to take out any potential aid. Furthermore, they will need to ensure that candidates do not bring to the desk any notes, books or any other aid, except a pen to take notes. The invigilator also ensures that electronic devices are put away and that mobile phones are only used to check the time. Ten minutes before the end of the assessment, the invigilator should announce the time remaining to the candidates and at the end of the preparation time, the invigilator should instruct candidates to cease writing and go to the exam room.



The invigilator reports to the Language Director who will be in touch before the exam date.
