The Assistant Principal (London)'s office is looking for someone to conduct an "audit" of existing collaborations and partnerships between King's staff and students and partners in London. London Engagement is a strategic priority within the 2029 Vision for King's. This project builds on the findings of the consultation process earlier this year and will help to support the implementation of the strategic framework for engagement with London, which can be found on the King?s strategy bank at Engagement with London.
The first phase of work (November) will be to design and develop an interview tool for capturing data and case studies on existing activity and to plan research within King's using this tool. This tool will then be used in interviews (ideally by telephone) with King?s staff and students to "map" activity and build a database.
In the second phase the post-holder will undertake desk based website and telephone research to identify projects and leads, interviews with King's staff and students/KCLSU and follow up leads to new contacts, building on an initial database of contacts and working with KCLSU and student clubs and societies.
The outputs from the project will include: written descriptors of engagement with London by King's staff and students; a database of existing activity (showing who the partners are, what the activity is (e.g. teaching or research), where it is, the duration of the engagement and the strategic intent behind the engagement).
The role reports to the Director, Operations & Planning, and, once appointed, to the Director, London Engagement
We are initially offering eight days' work in November with the potential for two - three days per week from December to February
