Job Description

We're looking for a customer services assistant to join our small but growing team, based in King's Cross - with regular working from home each week.

You'll be dealing with our customer queries via email, telephone and live chat, and you will need:

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Good attention to detail and ability to undertsand numeric information

-Good PC literacy and understanding of commonly used software -email, Word, Excel etc

-Good self-motivation and ability to prioritise workload

-Some experience in a customer support role will be an advantage

We are looking for a research assistant who can contribute substantively to the design and delivery of this experiment. Key responsibilities and objectives of the role:




  • Conduct a literature review and identify relevant literature to inform the design of the interventions and selection of outcome measures, focusing on political science and (social/political) psychology literature, and on studies using quantitative and experimental approaches.



In addition, depending on the skills/interests of the RA and time available, there may be scope to contribute to the following:




  • Supporting the design of the interventions themselves e.g.:

    • Identifying existing written or video stimuli,

    • Drafting/designing written stimuli, and/or

    • Scripting, filming and editing stimuli.



  • Preparing documents for ethical approval.

  • Creating the survey instrument in Qualtrics.

  • Managing the listing of the experiment on Prolific, and recruitment of participants.

  • Participating in analysis of the experimental data in R.

  • Contributing to drafting of the final paper and the journal submissions process.




Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science or related field



Skills

Essential:




  • Interest in and/or knowledge of the relevant literature.

  • Understanding of experimental methods, particularly survey experiments.

  • Experience working independently to contribute to a research project.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Proactive approach with initiative and drive.



Desirable:




  • Experience with Qualtrics, Prolific and/or R
