Job Description

A VO Artist for a female character is required to support the animation work of a new health project titled 'Medication brand changes in hormone therapy for breast cancer. A community pharmacy intervention development to improve patients' adherence and quality of life. ENABLE'. The project is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) through its Research for Patient Benefit programme. 

The VO Artist will contribute to the designing process of an e-learning resource for training pharmacists with support from the research team and the project managers. 

Hours: The total hours of work allocated to this job is 10 hrs, and the post holder won't exceed these hours. The hours per week will be agreed with your project manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Phase 2 Innovate UK-funded CyberASAP project CyDRA aiming to address Risk Assessment in Transactions under Security Threats. This role focuses on the development of a desktop software application to address complex challenges in securing critical infrastructure and industrial systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Transactions Under Security Threats: Develop software solutions to simulate transactional processes within systems exposed to security threats, enabling an accurate representation of vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
  • Design Security Architecture and Behavior Analysis: Create tools to design and evaluate security solutions, analysing the behaviour of both systems and potential adversaries through simulated transactions.
  • Risk Calculation: Implement algorithms and methodologies to calculate security risks based on input from security analytics, helping stakeholders prioritise and address vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Impact Analysis: Develop capabilities to assess the influence of proposed security infrastructures on overall system risk, ensuring solutions are effective and efficient.

 



Qualifications

First Degree in Cyber Security or closely related discipline
Desirable: Current MSc/PhD in AI or Cyber Security



Skills
  • Proficiency in OT security and IIoT domains, with experience in threat detection, neutralization, and prevention.
  • Expertise in security risk modeling, analysis tools, and simulation methodologies.
  • Strong programming skills in developing desktop applications, with a focus on robust design and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Ability to understand complex industrial processes and integrate them into software models for security infrastructure planning.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the SSPP POLIS REF Impact lead in conducting research related to REF 2021 Impact submissions, with assisting the culture and environment statement and helping with managing communications. We are looking for a recent PhD graduate or a current PhD student with a strong interest in research impact, higher education assessment frameworks, and policy-related research.

This short-term opportunity is for a research assistant to work on data analysis for the Pre-pregnancy Care for Women with Type 2 Diabetes (PREPARED) study, based in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care.  This is a remote-working position and will involve analysing clinical data using R.
