Over the last three years, and with a significant growth since the start of COVID-19 in March 2020, King’s Sport and the Physiotherapy team have continued to strengthen their strategic ties, playing a key role in the staff and student experience through developing holistic support services that enable our staff to find their personal best.
We are seeking a Physiotherapist to support our King’s Sport Performance Management team to support our TASS & dual career athletes as well as provide Physiotherapy management for staff and students based at our newly established King's Sport & Wellness Clinic at Waterloo.
You will be expected to liaise closely with the other members of the performance team, including performance managers, strength and conditioning coaches and sports psychologists. You will also be expected to act as co-Practice Educator for pre-registration Physiotherapy students whilst they are on placement within King’s Sport, including supervising patient consultations, providing formal and informal feedback and leading clinical reasoning sessions.
You will be supported by the King’s Sport Performance Team and Physiotherapy Academic Team, who will act as your clinical supervisor.

Negotiable, midweek daytime requirement
QualificationsBand 6 - Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Either chartered (CSP) or Bronze, Silver or Gold level (ACPSEM.)
SkillsClinical Responsibilities:
· Be a safe and autonomous practitioner able to provide evidenced based physiotherapy assessments, diagnosis and multimodal treatment approaches.
· Be able to work as a lone practitioner with a senior academic clinical supervisor available for consultation.
· Be able to work synergistically with other members of the King’s Sport performance team.
· To uphold a patient centred approach throughout
· Be competent with online exercise prescription software.
Communication:
· Be an adaptable communicator skilled at using behaviour change techniques to maximise outcomes for patients.
· Be able to work effectively with members of the MDT and King’s Sport performance team including referrals beyond the team where necessary.
· Be an effective practice educator sensitive to the needs of students and be effective in supporting students to fulfil the learning objectives of their placement.
· To uphold HCPC standards of note keeping within the time frames required, and be subject to regular audit.
· To write accurate reports for third parties as circumstances require.
Research, Development & Quality Improvement:
· Potential requirement for data collection and audit to contribute to departmental research projects.
· To propose and engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Practice Education:
· To act a co-practice educator for students throughout the year, supervising their patient interactions, providing feedback and contributing to their assessment processes.
· Participate in KCL Practice Educator Training and drop ins as deemed appropriate by supervisors
Professional:
· To work within and uphold all CSP and HCPC Codes of standard and practice.
· To maintain own continuing professional development in accordance with HCPC standards. Budget provided.
Organisational:
· To demonstrate effective time management skills and be autonomous in management of own workload, including note and report writing, student supervision tasks.
