Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Brain Imaging in Babies Team as a student data entry assistant (Brain Imaging in Babies (BIBS) - King's College London (kcl.ac.uk)). The detail-oriented individual will support the team with accurately inputting data collected within interviews into large spreadsheets. This will include thorough quality checking, reviewing work and identifying/resolving any discprepancies. 



This position is inially offered for a week to cover a specific period of increased workload. However, there is the potential for an extension based on project needs and performance during initial period. 



Qualifications

Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.



Having completed or willing to complete NIHR-  Introduction To Good Clinical Practice (GCP) ELearning.



Having completed or willing to complete KCL - Data Protection and Information Security .



Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Confident in using spreadsheet systems, e.g Microsoft Excel.

  • Proficiency to enter data quickly and accurately.

  • Experience with data inputting or managing databases is desired but not essential.

  • Strong ability to maintain clear and detailed records of data entry procedures. 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.

Student Technical Assistant, receiving student's digital files. File tidy up and preparation such as rescaling. Print their files on large format plotters. Laser cut their files. Digitise hard copies of their work using large format scanner. Account keeping of student records. The facilities will be open weekdays during term time. You will not be expected to work more than ten hours per week.

Skills

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and CAD software such as Rhino preffered but not essential. Experience of using laser cutters and large format printers preffered but not essential.

Mediators are communicators, explainers, listeners and helpers. They must be prepared to develop an in-depth understanding of both the science and the art within our exhibitions and are keen to explore interesting and provoking ideas with our visitors. They are excellent communicators and understand the importance of listening to the views and opinions of others.
