FLT Driver

Job Description

Our client is looking for a warehouse operative to work at their Eggbrough site. 



This is a Monday to Thursday role. 



Hours or work are EITHER



07.00AM to 19.00 pm



7.00pm to 7.00am 



For the right candidate this will become a perm position after successfully completing 13 weeks temp work. 



Brief over view of the role consists of the below. 



You must hold a valid FLT Licence.



Accurately pick product from stock as per the delivery notes and load safely onto the designated vehicle/trailer maximising all available space and recording all required load details. Ensure if the

load contains more than one delivery the drops are segregated and annotated on the delivery note to make the driver aware.



Assemble and locate orders/loads prior to despatch, ensuring they are checked for accuracy and the warehouse copy is signed as confirmation. 



Ensure no damaged or substandard products are loaded and that the products have had their adequate curing time



Carry out daily forklift truck check and report any defects found. 




  • All safety procedures must be followed whilst operating

    the FLT’s




  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors during

    loading/unloading to ensure they are aware of the site procedures; any

    unsafe behaviours must be challenged at the time. 




  • Returned stock or raw materials but be unloaded safely and

    correctly in line with standard operating procedures and all damages

    must be noted on the paperwork and products located in the designated

    area




  • Remove all damaged and substandard product from warehouse

    locations and relocate in the designated re-pack area. Report to stock

    control




  • Any damages to product, property or equipment must be reported at

    the time to your line manager. 




  • Assist with periodic stock checks, reporting any shortages or

    variances straight away. 




  • Assist with and maintain site safety by using the safety tools

    available. 




  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times, ensuring

    all working areas are clean and tidy recording where applicable on the

    audit tracker. 




  • Ability to utilise and operate systems applicable to your role

    driver with previous FLT working experience

  • Be confident in the use of systems

    required to complete your role




  • Ability to judge distances and heights

    and be able to work in varying seasonal temperatures.

Responsibilities 



As a building services engineer, you'll need to: 



• negotiate and develop project contracts and agree these with clients, if working in  consultancy and putting out tenders 



• commission, organise and assess the work of contractors 



• work with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings 



• use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to  design the systems required for the project 



• use and develop Building Information Modelling (BIM) to ensure systems are  coordinated in a complex construction or refurbishment project 



• manage and forecast spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring  that work is carried out within budget and energy-efficient systems are  implemented 



• design site-specific equipment as required 



• oversee and supervise the installation of building systems and specify  maintenance and operating procedures 



• monitor building systems and processes 



• liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, builders,  architects and surveyors and in-house project teams 



• attend a range of project group and technical meetings 



• ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative  and health and safety requirements 



• work on a variety of projects within a short period of time.
